DOMICILE RE-SALE
I have accepted an offer on my home and am waiting for it to close. You would think it's a relief to get close to the finish line, but I find it very emotional. This week I've been working on the Jim Protector record, which is something that I started to get involved with in Norway last year...and on it goes...Alex from the the band came to represent, and he & I camped out at the Soundhouse from Sunday night til Sunday morning (as I write it's just after 5am on Sunday and we're making CDs etc. I have to leave for Seatac pretty soon. Once I get the CDs started I'll run up to my house for a shower and change of clothes. I've been sleeping on the studio couch, basically working around the clock, going home in the mornings for a shower...belive it or not, I still managed, in working 16+ hour days in the studio, to play tennis on 3 separate occasions (and do well!), attend shows by the Presets (unbelieveable synth n drums dup from Australia) and Ice Cube (prob. one of the best live hip hop shows I've been to); and go to a party for about 2 glasses of champagne.
OK, now it's a few days later, back to the telling of the last night-- I mixed/made CDs/transferred files til 5.30, rushed home for a change of clothes/shower as promised, and was on a 7.25 plane to Ontario CA--by 1 that afternoon I was in the studio working on new music with White Flag--writing, singing, playing bass/keyboards til 1am...when i finally collapsed and slept til noon...
Today I was feeling refreshed, I cleaned up and shaved, had my shades on...later, on the way to get some breakfast, I noticed out of the corner of my eye a girl in a car in the adjacent lane checking me out...I was in a convertible BMW (not driving, not mine) with the top down, and I kid you not...she hit the car in front of her...I felt bad, actually. But, I'll take the compliment...
Back to work...1am and another song to sing...
